veers then right towards a rocky pass. |

flats and lakes are reached. Refuge Sella Quintino is sited above the
largest lake with great views of Monte Viso. |
Col de la Traversette
Napoléon went over this pass with his army and supplies to invade
Italy, nearly two centuries ago. |
