The lightly marked track follows a gentle creek. Pic d'Estaragne is reached after a short ascent on scree.

A little effort on the ridge and it is Pic de Campbiehl. On most days, the view covers 360°, Monte Perdido and the Brèche de Roland are clearly visible on the skyline.

To complete a loop, the route goes along creeks and lakelets of Montagne de Cap de Long.

This section  is very entertaining, creeks, cascades. Finally the tracks sidle the mountain high above the lake.
