Monte d'Oru is the summit of the range separating refuge de l'Onda from Vizzavona. From the ridge to l'Onda the view covers most of the northern part of the circuit.

The approaches of Vizzavona are covered with a beech forest, then the track follows closely the riverbed with cascades and pools.
