From Haut Ascu, the highest mountain of Corsica is only a few hours away. Cirque di Trimbolacciu is well worth exploring.

Cascading creeks, dramatic cirques and jagged peaks of Cinto range are probably more spectacular than anywhere else in the country.

A good loop trip from Ascu is to go to Tighjettu on the GR20 and come back over the Cintu
